I deleted the video off youtube and my phone, I dont need to be reminded of my mistakes. I need to learn from them and move forward. Thats what this post is about. I really do try to be a good driver, I know I'm new and I know I'm not gonna be perfect for a while (if ever). It also doesnt help that I got my license mere weeks before the snowy season with only 6 hours of driving experience with my permit. All I want to do now is Get back in my truck while keeping my known shortcomings as a driver in mind and try to correct them. I also need to get better at understanding how my truck handles in snow. Believe it or not the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! has helped with that more than I thought it would, I dont slide anymore in the snow. I know I'm getting better, But I also know I still have a ways to go before I will be a consistently all around good driver. And From now on I will do everything I can to be more cautious when driving in snow. Anyway, Thanks for putting up with me and giving it to me straight.

Nope, not good enough. Only a Coyote swap for Veronica will make up for your jalop sins. now get to it! and don't forget the 4x4 system, you have to put that in as well.

Ill concede that a coyote would be awesome. But if I do that, I'd lower her so 4wd would be pointless

You know you really really should have snow tires.

Ya I know. But I'm trying to save up for larger wheels so I won't have to search so hard for 14 inch tires each time I need to buy them. So these will have to do for now

Don't worry, not all situations present themselves at opportune moments. You just take your experiences and learn from them, hell I'm still figuring things out on the road.

You might even visit another city that has some weird lights and intersections that'll throw you all out of whack, I've done it myself where I even said out loud "Uh what the hell am I supposed to do here? Left or straight?".

I want all the wheels to rotate, not just the ones in the right side of the car.

Personally, I wouldn't drive a rwd pickup truck in Denver over the winter without snow tires for any amount of time...

Why not just get a steelie package?

I actually want steelies but Im a broke art student. Even 40 bucks a wheel for Steelies it's too expensive for me right now

got it. Still, look on CL, I'll bet there are literally thousands of used snow tires for sale crazy cheap. It's for your safety.

Yeah I've only been driving by myself for a few months (since October) and I've had a few close calls, just don't worry about em, and realize these experiences help create a better driver. Learn from your mistakes I guess, experience is the best teacher.

Dude, the fact that you're paying attention, reflecting on situations and working to get better is (more than) half the battle. Kudos to you.

Thanks. I got a lot of flack for that incident last night. What many people dont realize is its very common for new drivers to have close calls like that, but most people dont post about it. I could have edited it out of the video, But I wanted to leave it in so I could get the opinions of more seasoned drivers allowing me to learn from my mistakes without relying on myself for insight. Sorry if this comment is a bit convoluted, I had my wisdom teeth out this morning and Im a little out of it.
